Post your Pedigree

Everyone should submit their Ryan pedigree. This helps collaboration with your fellow researchers.

There are two places where you can see these Ryan pedigrees - our Patriarchs Page and this page here. You can submit your pedigree to either page but posting it below might be easier for you. Between them, these pages attempt to list the ancestral Ryan lines of everyone in the project who is currently researching their Ryan ancestry. Each pedigree goes back to the earliest known Ryan ancestor in the researcher's family tree. This may either be a Ryan Patriarch or a Ryan Matriarch.

Please post what you know about your Ryan pedigree in the comments section below using the following format and going all the way down to you. If you have had a DNA test, please include the kit number should you choose, and your email address for contact:

To respect privacy and confidentiality, the following limitations are recommended:

• no birth dates if less than 100 years ago
• no marriage dates if less than 75 years 
• no death dates if less then 50 years 
• no living people (but you can use initials, or "father" / "grandmother" / "me" etc if you wish) 

If you are researching your Ryan line, you should search both pages for your earliest Ryan ancestor to see if someone is already researching your particular line. The Researcher's name or email address is included in many pedigrees in case you want to contact them. As this is a public forum, email addresses should have the @ sign replaced with the word AT, and more recent generations should be included at the your discretion.
